I really didn't know what to name this one. It's a redesign of my character Shiroko. (original image available here ---> [link] )
As you can see, the older one has her sitting in an ice cavern. But for this one, i made her a little more of a punk. The background actually looks quite gothic i think  Scetched and inked by hand, scanned and coloured with photoshop 7 using a Graphire 2 tablet. |

Especially the way you combined normal shading for the body with cell shading for the hair...superb

As for the shading, i feel that regular shading makes the skin look a little warmer, and the cell shading makes the hair shinier. Plus i just like the contrast XD
